In Epic, when agencies come on board, they’re given the choice to select their primary carrier type—either ICO or PPC. Let’s take a quick look at how these details appear in InsuredMine, making it easy and personalized.
Note: For example, if an agency initially selects an issuing company but later decides to switch to the premium payable as their primary carrier, this transition is possible. However, it’s important to know that it may take some time due to backend data refresh.
- While onboarding an agency in Epic, we give them the option to choose what they want as their primary carrier whether ICO or PPC.
- Click on the refresh button to manually sync the policy details with Insuredmine.
Now after syncing carrier details with InsuredMine, let’s understand how it appears within InsuredMine once the onboarding agency chooses its primary carrier type.
To view the enhancement:
When ICO (Issuing company) is the Primary Carrier type for an Agency:
- Navigate to the Policies module.
- Agencies that have selected the Issuing Company type as their primary carrier will be displayed upfront.
- On the policy details page, users can confirm the agency’s preference for an ‘issuing company’ carrier.
When PPC (Premium Payable Company) is the Primary Carrier type for an Agency:
- Navigate to the Policies module.
- Agencies that prefer the Premium Payable type as their primary carrier will be visible upfront.
- Click on the policy number to view policy details.
- On the policy details page, users can confirm the agency’s preference for a ‘premium payable’ carrier.
Carrier details can also be viewed from Accounts and Contacts:
From Account360
- Go to Account 360.
- Click on policy details to view agencies’ carrier details, whether Premium Payable or Issuing Company carrier details.
 From Contact 360
- Navigate to contact360 of the contact.
- Click on policy details to view agencies’ carrier details, whether premium payable or issuing company
