This glossary defines common terminology used across the InsuredMine CRM portal and throughout our Knowledge Base documentation.
A
Account
An account is a company, organization, or individual client that you are currently doing business with or plan to business with in the future. One or more clients can be associated with an account.
Active
Active represents anything that is currently ongoing. For example, any policy that is running is an active policy. Any account that has a contact who has an existing policy with your agency is an active account.
Activity
Activity stands for all the things that an agent does while accessing the portal
Admin
An individual who has full access to all modules in the CRM can restrict access for the agents.
Agency
Agency stands for a business or organization selling insurance policies of different carriers.
Agent
User accessing the portal
Agent App
An application installed in your phone that is accessible for agents only.
Analytics
Analytics is the pictorial/ graphical representation of systematic analysis of data or statistics.
API
The Application Programming Interface of InsuredMine that you use to make changes to or read from your InsuredMine site.
API Keys
Used to authorize InsuredMine to send and receive data across integration platforms, enabling you to get the most out of the CRM platform.
Application Language
The default language that the InsuedMine application uses. Changing this setting in the Personal Preferences will automatically reload the app with that translation.
Assignee
The person who has been assigned for a deal card or a task.
Authentication
The sign-in process that is made available to your agency, can be adjusted in the Security Settings. InsuredMine offers Google, Microsoft sign-in options.Â
 Automation
Automation represents the technology used to set a business process where human input is minimized. Here automation is used to schedule any sort of communication campaign within the agency or with the clients.

Billing
InsuredMine billing starts on the day you sign up for the service and then it bills you every month on the same day if it is a monthly subscription and once a year on the same date next year if it is annual billing.
Bulk
Bulk refers to multiple contacts while you select while sending any communication through email or text message

Carriers/ Insurer are the insurance companies and sell insurance policy
Campaign
A campaign is generally a series of communication (email/text) that is lined up to send messages or information for marketing purposes. This campaign is usually sent to bulk contacts/leads marketing is the act of sending a commercial message, typically to a group of people, using email. In its broadest sense, every email sent to a potential or current customer could be considered email marketing.
Categories
Categories are the policy categories that are referred to as Line of business in the insurance domain – E.g., Home, Auto, Boat, BOP
Checklist
A checklist is a way of keeping track of subtasks within a deal card. Admin can include a list of items/ process that is to be done while processing a deal card to the next stage. A checklist can be marked mandatory. This helps to standardize their process for consistency, efficiency, and training purposes.
Closed
An agent can close a deal card in two conditions: one, if they have won the deal or if the deal is not getting converted. In both respects, they can close the card if they don’t find any potential in keeping the card open.
Contacts
People with whom agents communicate for a business opportunity. This can be an individual who is looking for an insurance policy or a point of contact on behalf of any company looking for purchasing policies for the company.
CRM
CRM is customer relationship management software that addresses the specific business needs of an organization. You can organize the leads, claims, automate workflows, and manage policies, customer communication, all from one single window.
Cross-Sell
Selling different insurance policies on the top of current policy to the existing client.
Customization
The process of modifying various elements in the CRM account to match the business requirements.
Custom Fields
Fields that agents can create to fit the business requirements and help to fetch the type of information they want to record.

Dashboard
The dashboard is the user interface that provides you with the current summary/ key metrics of your agency business, usually in graphic representation (reports/analytics). The key information will include progress and performance, automation, workflow data.
Deal
The most important record of the CRM system. The deal here represents the selling of insurance policy to generate revenue for your agency.
Dealboard
Dealboard is the platform where all the deal cards can be viewed in one frame.
Deal Card
The deal card is the file that includes all the details of any lead, prospect, or existing client. This deal card includes all the policy details, communication details, tasks, activities, etc.
Deal Charts
Deal Charts are a great way to get real analytics on your business in a visibly friendly way. From the Pipelines, you can click on the Action icon to get the deal charts.Â
Drip
Drip is the series of communication that you set to send to leads/ prospects or clients at various stages. Communication can include email, text messages, etc.
Document Manager
Document Manager is the place where you can store all your data in the form of files and folders.

Engagement
The engagement module enables agents to initiate communication and develop a one-to-one relationship with the leads, prospects, and customers.Â
Executive for AMS360 users
In AMS 360 an executive is the specific type of service personnel from Service Group who is assigned to a client.Â

Filter
Filters are an easy way to search, sort, group, and analyze Accounts, Contacts, Deal Cards, etc.
Forecast view
The forecast view represents the presentation of deal cards based on their expected closing date.
Form
The form is a document that is used by agents to collect data of leads, prospects, and existing clients.
Future Effective Date
A future effective date is when a policy will start in the future. for example, A person purchased an auto policy, but it isn’t doesn’t go into effect/start until 3-7-2022.

Google Reviews
Google reviews help your business stand out. You can collect Google reviews from your customers through the InsuredMine portal and can get the best one visible.
I
IFrame
An IFrame (Inline Frame) is an HTML document embedded inside another HTML document on a website.
Inactive
Inactive represents anything that is not in use or lapsed, for example, any account that includes contact with an expired policy or has never bought any policy yet is inactive.
Intake Form
An intake form helps agents to collect accurate and up-to-date information from a new client. For example home, vehicle, insurance details, coverages, etc.
L
Labels
Labels are a type of bookmarks or meta-categories that you can create for deal cards. The label can help agents quickly filter and search the deal cards using the labels.
Leaderboard Reports
Leaderboard Reports in Pipeline Manager helps the admin to get a detailed picture of the deals. In Leaderboard Reports one can find detailed reports and analytical views about won deals by agents, lost deals by agents, open deals by agents, deals moved to stages, and deal by stages.
Lead Source
Lead source stands for the source or contact from whom you have got the lead/ prospect details. Lead source gives a detailed view of the number of deal cards you have got from different sources and can have the necessary contact details for them.
List
List is basically a contact segmentation based on single or multiple criteria/filters to define a target audience for any specific communication or campaign.
Lost
If agents fail to sell an insurance policy to the lead, then the deal card that they had created is marked as lost.

Monoline
Monoline stands for customers who possess a single policy (that covers only one risk).

Onboarding
Onboarding is the process where agents are introduced to the InsuredMine portal and provided training for accessing the portal.
Opportunities
Opportunities are the process of tracking all opportunities for potential sales and converting them into recurring revenue. It includes renewal, X-date, Cross-Sell, and Monoline
P
Pipeline Manager
Pipeline Manager is an organized, visual way of tracking buyers’ journeys as they progress through different sales stages.
Policies
Policies are the insurance policies that an agent sells to the clients. These policies can be auto, home, life, etc.
Portal
Portal is the web page that provides access to the agents to the InsuredMine CRM where they can manage their agency business and connect with their customers from a single platform.
Premium
An insurance premium is the amount of money that an individual/ business pays to the insurance provider periodically.Â
Private board
The private board is the part of the deal board where the deal cards created by the logged-in agent will be displayed.
Q
Quote sheet
InsuredMine Quote Sheet is a pre-designed intake form that can be used to gather information from the new client.

Renewal
Renewal is the process where the existing policy of the client is about to expire and needs to be renewed.Â
Reports
Reports are basically performance summaries of performance metrics relevant to the role of each team member. You can use the insights you gain from these reports to improve your sales and marketing campaigns, as well as to make smarter, data-backed business decisions.
Revenue
Revenue is the commission generated while selling insurance policies to clients by the agents. Â
Representative for AMS360 users
In AMS 360 a representative is the specific type of service personnel from Service Group who is assigned to a client.Â

Sales Â
Sales denoted the business volume that agents do while selling the policy to their clients.
Sales Deal Charts
Deal Charts representing the agency sales. These deal charts give a complete overview of the overall agency business done by each agent.Â
Scheduler
Scheduler helps to schedule meetings without the hassle of back-and-forth emails. You can find the scheduler in the deal card.
Shared Board
The Shared board is the part of the deal board where all the deal cards will be visible that can be accessed by all the agents within the agency.
Single Contact Drip
Single contact drip triggers are set to start a campaign, for the specific pipeline in the pipeline manager module, when a relevant event takes place. customized drip template that can be scheduled to any contact whenever agent needed
Stage
Stages are milestones that a lead crosses while passing through the sales funnel.
Sync
Data synchronization is done within two platforms- the existing Agency Management System and InsuredMine CRM.Â

Tags
Tags are unique identifiers that can help agents to search, sort, filter, categorize, and segment contacts and accounts in an efficient manner. Tags in contacts help to differentiate each contact based on any particular parameter, for example, immediate closure, multiple policyholders, etc. But shortcut tags in templates are data field references with two sets of curly brackets: for example, {{Name}}
Template
A template is a format/ pattern used as a guide to creating marketing material.
Template Builder
Template Builder allows agents to create new, or edit and build customized templates based on existing templates.
Text
Text is the text message that an agent sends to potential and existing clients.

View
The view is the arrangement or representation of how the details will be visible. Example: List view, grid view, etc.

Widget
Widget is the graphical user interface (GUI) that displays real-time information about any specific campaign.
Won
If agents are successful in selling an insurance policy to the lead, then the deal card that they had created is marked as won.
X
X-dates
X dates are prospecting opportunity dates set by the agents to reach out to the prospect before the due date or expiration date of the existing policy.
